When a child or teen is struggling with anxiety or fears, life can difficult for them and sometimes for their family as well. I work with children and teens who are struggling with fears and phobias (e.g, fear of the dark, fear of dogs), with general anxiety, and with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
I work collaboratively with children and teens to help them learn ways to better understand and manage their emotions (fears and worries) and to develop skills that will enable them to live life fully and authentically.
Sometimes I work mostly with parents, helping parents learn skills to better help their children succeed. This is most often the case with young children.
Other times, I work directly with children and teens, helping them learn skills to navigate tough feelings (like fears) and live the lives they want to live.
